This project involved transitioning from a WordPress.com website to WordPress.org, featuring a completely refreshed design aesthetic. The updated look includes new colours, typography, and imagery, enhancing the overall aesthetic and user experience. One of the key challenges was migrating a comprehensive blog with over 150 posts while maintaining URL integrity to minimise any negative impact on SEO rankings in search engine results pages (SERPs).

The framework of the website was constructed using Bricks Builder and Pods in conjunction with the WordPress block editor. It was essential that the client, familiar with the WordPress.com interface, could easily update the site content. This was achieved by preserving the familiar block editor UI from WordPress.com. The result is a modern, visually appealing, and highly functional website that aligns with the client’s needs and enhances their online presence.
